The Story Behind the Piece
Dabu is a centuries-old mud resist hand-printing technique unique to Bagru, Rajasthan. Clay, lime, and gum are applied with hand-carved wooden blocks to prevent dye absorption before the fabric is immersed into natural indigo vats. As the mud dries under the desert sun, it creates subtle, organic crackles that give each runner an unmistakable handmade character.
Key Highlights:
- 100% natural vegetable indigo dye
- Authentic mud-resist craft with organic dye crackles
